I’d love to know how cloggging peak hour traffic on a Friday night and alienating every driver caught up by this selfish act is in any way helping the environment? Stop dressing up arrogance and stupidity as a worthwhile cause.
IN RESPONSE
Great that is your opinion! Pretty Bleak one at that…
When you come to a traffic jam on a normal day of work, do you blame the council workers. or the car that had an accident or the policeman just doing his job, because someone decided to jump off the top of Southland.
Who are you going to blame when your children are dieing from cancer, just by merely living and exeisting in the town of Melbourne, Australia.
When is everyone going to wake up to the fact that capitalism, materialism, power hungry people, what ever you decide to continue to support. Does not work, we are ruining this earth. Though we choose to look the other way. Make slip-ups like Johnny Howard in Parliament - “emissions have no correlation to the greenhouse effect”, which he later reneged, and pleeded that there is a direct correlation between The World’s emissions and the Greenhouse Effect”
Which you are probably so nieve to the fact that the hole in the ozone is directly above Melbourne,Australia. All I can say is that I hope you have good skin, and that your children and grandchildren do too. Because this is real.
So go on producing more fumes and hope the world does to, if you want. As you may now be aware it is the people of Melbourne, Australia who suffer directly and first from the hole in the ozone layer….
So toot when you see ‘Critical Mass’ corking an intersection, as we are fighting for you - Right accross the world. Critical Mass is a worldwide event, held in most major cities accross the world. We cannot effect change by ourselves, it is going to take time and education.
Or you can get angry at the corking, be home, what 5 minutes different, your dinner will still be on the table(Unlike some people, but I am not going to go there!) and you can hold that anger, bottle it up, and generally not achieve anything. Or just Toot n Honk! and enjoy the rest of your day, YOUR WAY!
this friday is first final of cricket which im going i hope this doesnt wreck that esp monash and connecting roads.. and i love my bike.
SolomonGrundy WELL SAID.
Now idiots who hold up traffic unnesessarily take note of this.
Traffic holdups cause a greater buildup of pollutants with cars idling in stand still traffic, there is a greater chance that an accident will occur, so tow trucks (CAUSING POLLUTION) have to be dispatched to pick up broken cars.
There is more wastage of petrol and diesel and that means greater demand and greater demand means more drilling for oil, more refining, more money in the oil companies pockets and more pollution all around.
Critical Mass do you really think you are saving the environment by holding up traffic???, seriously tho, admit it, you are working for the petrol companies right ???
COCO!
